A pantless society
This thread follows on from an earlier posting about last year’s Moleskine Detour Exhibition, and the contradiction that is my infatuation for this particular brand of notebook, and my mission to rid the (modern) world of its parasitic demands on natural resources. Viva la paperless society. Calm down ‘Bear, paperless not pantless.
Anyway, an interesting Business Week article, found via the AdPulp blog, highlighting Moleskine’s innovative approach to marketing themselves online, with the introduction of a city range of notebooks in to the US market supported by the provision and use of blogging. Cool!
“And while readers can currently only comment on the posts, the idea is that soon they will spin out into wiki-style pages of user-generated content, with travelers, visitors, and locals all contributing tips and information. Tapping into the notebooks’ target market of those with an interest in contemporary culture, the blogs talk up art, design, technology, and city life.”
